The insane man invites them to stay and relax awhile, then regales them with his theories of crime. His heart begins to beat louder. 爱伦坡的作品早在近一百年前就被搬上了大荧幕，改编自其脍炙人口的短篇《泄密的心》短片里男主角有些爱伦坡典型的形象:八字唇须、凌乱的卷发和神经质的眼神，非几何对称的舞台和环境映射了主人公扭曲异化的内心，默片时代的男演员用他夸张的肢体语言和表情，还原了一个癫狂而又suffer的爱伦坡。
